The Center for Astrophysics and Space Science (CASS) invites high school and university level students to register for the fourth annual Astronomy Camp. The three-day immersive virtual camp is designed for students who want to delve deeper into the mysteries of the cosmos. The Camp is a preparatory crash-course taught by leading NYUAD professors, research staff and special guests on topics that range from exoplanets, the solar system, the birth and death of stars, among others.
Thanks to our partners at the Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, Space Sciences and Technology, this year’s Camp includes an exclusive in-person field trip to visit the Sharjah Planetarium. There are two scheduled planetarium shows, after which a tour of the Exhibitions Hall will commence.
A digital certificate will be awarded to all students who complete the full program. Slots are limited and we encourage students to apply early to secure their spot to immerse themselves in stunning visual displays, connect with fellow campers, and engage in interactive seminars with our experts!
Age and skill advisory: 13 years and up, high school and university level students, preference given to students who live in the United Arab Emirates or MENA region; we encourage youth interested in the sciences to apply.
Requirements: students under 18 will require parental permission to attend.
