Hailed as a ‘new cello genius,’ Pablo Ferrández is a captivating performer. His debut album, Reflections, won an Opus Klassik Award —  and in autumn 2022 — he released his second album, featuring the Brahms Double Concerto with violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter and the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, and Clara Schumann’s Piano Trio with Mutter and Lambert Orkis. Accompanied by his regular performance partner, the exceptional pianist Luis Del Valle, he will play a richly varied program starting with De Falla’s “7 Canciones Populares,” then moving into powerful, romantic territory with Beethoven’s “Sonata for Cello and Piano no. 3,” Rachmaninov’s “Vocalise”, and Franck’s Sonata in A major.
