The China-Gulf Forum was launched in 2019 at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) and is the first student-organized conference on China-Gulf relations in the United Arab Emirates. Over the past three iterations, China-Gulf Forum has accumulated over 1,000 attendees from all over the world.
This year, we will introduce four main panels: Sustainability, Technology and AI, Arts and Culture, and Economics and Finance. We will also have a roundtable on young professionals thriving in the UAE, as well as a networking session with company representatives.
This year, we have launched our CGF University Ambassadors Program, reaching out to students from more than 20 universities including United Arab Emirates University, Khalifa University, American University of Sharjah, Zayed University, Abu Dhabi University, and many more. We have also organized more than five community-building events on campus at NYUAD, engaging students across the NYU Global Network.

The first China-Gulf Forum (CGF) was hosted in November 2019 by NYUAD students in partnership with the NYUAD Institute and the Social Science Division, and the second CGF was hosted virtually in April 2021 due to the pandemic. Our forum has been widely featured in various media sources, including the Emirates News Agency, Al Khaleej, and Al Fajr. The third CGF was further expanded to eight different realms and brought the global spotlight into focus.
With a cumulative global attendance of 1000 individuals, coverage by five national media outlets, a network of 12 valued partners, and beyond, CGF 2024 aims to continuously expand its network and evolve into a more impactful platform for everyone interested in China and the Gulf.
