Based upon the life and work of Egyptian writer and activist Alaa Abd El-Fattah and the remarkable Seif family, written by Adam ElSayigh, in collaboration with dramaturg Salma Zohdi, and directed by Kate Moore Heaney, this presentation follows a three-day workshop exploring the first part of the trilogy, and features a company of actors that includes Noor Hamdi, Gamze Ceylan, Rosaline ElBay, Rita Wolf, Ali Andre Ali, Arianna Gayle Stucki, Samy Nour Younes Gonzales-Novoa and Ali Nasser.
The reading is followed by a conversation with the creative team on the research and process that led to the creation of the trilogy.
