The Center for Astro, Particle, and Planetary Physics (CAP3) is organizing a conference to determine the state of the art in measuring astrophysical time scales, from solar system formation timescales through the age of the Universe. Our goal is to connect similar timescales in various fields of astrophysics and to highlight similarities and differences in astrophysics processes. Finally, we aim to use the perceived conflicts and contradictions between ages and timescales obtained via different techniques and across various astronomical fields, to map out promising lines of inquiry for resolving these differences.
