Join Stern at NYUAD for a conversation with NYU Stern Professor Johannes Stroebel as he provides an introduction to the various types of climate risks to businesses as well as approaches to managing these risks.
The physical manifestations of climate change, and the subsequent regulations, can have substantial effects on firms’ operations and overall economic activity. In this new world, investors, regulators, employees, and customers are increasingly requiring firms to understand, disclose, and manage the various risks from climate change.
Professor Stroebel will overview the science behind climate change and discuss how climate risks can be measured and managed across businesses. He will discuss how climate change will affect organizations, and how to minimize the risks and maximize the opportunities from a transition to a low-carbon economy.
