A unique conference of analysis and historical review of the UAE Constitution to mark the 50th anniversary of the federal unification of the seven Emirates of the UAE.
The conference will review the past, the present, and the future of the UAE Constitution and its far-reaching influence over the social, economic, and political life of the UAE.
- The opening session will look at the making of the constitution from both the UAE and British aspects as well as the history and social structure of the Gulf states.
- The second session takes an analytical view, appraising the present status affecting society, government and the law, and reviews the nature, form, and content of the Constitution.
- The last session provides an overview of the Constitution for the future from an international perspective, addressing the issues to be confronted in the next fifty years.
