Join NYU Abu Dhabi's Global TIES for Children Research Center and the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority (ECA) for this interactive session "The Right to Play | Supporting Learning in the Early Years," in celebration of Emirati Children's Day 2021. This session, hosted in both Arabic and English* will feature comments from ECA's Executive Director, Eng. Thamer Al Qasimi, and NYU Abu Dhabi's Vice Chancellor, Mariët Westermann. Through this engaging webinar, participants will learn from local expert, Dr. Suha Al Hassan from the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority and the Co-Director of Global TIES for Children, Dr. Hirokazu Yoshikawa on the importance of learning through play, cultural influences on play and how play influences early childhood development. Dr. Yoshikawa will also share evidence-based strategies for practitioners, parents, and caregivers to support learning through play for young children, especially in the time of COVID-19.
This session is aimed at a general audience including practitioners, parents, and caregivers.
