WHEN April 27, 2021
9pm WHERE Zoom WHO NYU Abu Dhabi Art Gallery Open to the Public

Join a conversation with Professor David Wrisley (NYUAD Associate Professor of Digital Humanities), and Maryam Al Hamra (Director and Head Researcher of the AlHamra National Museum, located, invisibly, on AlHamra). They will explore the creation and emanation of narratives in the digital space. Drawing from their respective backgrounds, Wrisley and Al Hamra talk about the ways in which identity is shaped through digital curation.

This program accompanies the virtual exhibition not in, of, along, or relating to a line. In the exhibition, nine artists and art collectives make visible both the restrictions and the freedoms of digital culture and explore how identities and histories are created, transformed, or invented through our relationship with technology.
