In this reunion, Zimoun will perform a newly-composed audio artwork "for headphones and blindfold." This event marks the launch of the exhibition archive for ZIMOUN as part of the NYUAD Art Gallery’s TRACE series.
Zimoun is known for his analog, abstract sculptural installations, which produce immersive sound experiences that are direct, visceral, and non-narrative. In keeping with this direct relationship between sound and the physical world, this performance will present an immersive audio work "for headphones and blindfold."
This event is part of the TRACE: Archives and Reunions series, and will mark the publishing of the online archive for the ZIMOUN exhibition, including the book, videos, youth guide, and new install views.
