The People of Determination Support Program is a workshop led by Fatma Al Jassim, a young leader in the UAE and advocate for people of determination.
The workshop is a two-day training (four hours each day) that allows participants the opportunity to grasp core practical skills in the disability sector ranging from disability etiquette, accommodation for individuals with disabilities, global challenges, and the application in policies.
This training is recommended for individuals with experience in the field and those who anticipate applying what they learn in the near future.
Bio
Fatma Al Jassim, the youngest member of the advisory board of the national policy for people of determination. A strategic Integrated Communication student at Zayed University. She also worked as a research and policy Coordinator at CDA and the first Emirati Certified ADA Administrator.
Fatma is the first youth delegate of the UAE in the COSP-CRPD United Nations Conference and in the Global Disability Summit as well. An internationally accredited Master Trainer. The founder of the first social imitative called “The Art of Dealing with People of Determination,” which aims to give the community a chance to live the perspective of the people of determination.
Fatma graduated from high school achieving first place in the homeschooling category on the national level. She is also considered the first Emirati to become a certified accessibility professional. Fatma is a certified mental health first aid professional and she has been awarded internationally as one of the most influential leaders with a disability. She is a member of the Dubai Youth Council and a member of Training Gate International.
