Nuclear and Cytoplasmic Molecular Machines at Work

Conference

WHEN April 8-10, 2019
9 AM - 5 PM WHERE Abu Dhabi WHO NYU Abu Dhabi Institute By Invitation Interested scholars please contact nyuad.programs@nyu.edu

Cellular processes in general are executed by sets of molecular machines that work in a coordinated manner as part of assembly lines. One such assembly line is provided by the gene expression pathway from the gene to polyribosomes. In this context, chromatin modifications, transcription, RNA modification, transport and translation are integrated through the synergistic action of molecular machines. The goal of the conference is the characterization of some of these machines, using advanced genomics and imaging technique in combination with biophysical and theoretical approaches, with the aim of understanding the mechanisms by which these complexes function
