Economic Cooperation: A Bridge over Troubled Water!

Talk

Registration is required.

The population growth in the region is one of the highest in the world. That equates to demand for water, specifically of the Tigris and Euphrates, to grow food, to power thermal and hydroelectric plants, and to drink. With climate change affecting the area negatively in the form of prolonged droughts and reduced rain and snow fall, it is only a matter of time when the price of water will be more than the price of processed oil!. This talk explores ways that Iraq and Turkey (and eventually, Iran, Syria, Jordan and the region in general) can avert a crisis and convert it into a borderless middle east.
