WHERE Abu Dhabi WHO NYU Abu Dhabi Institute By Invitation Interested scholars please contact nyuad.programs@nyu.edu

Over the past 20 years, Gulf visual media, including film, social media, and on demand television, have shifted dramatically with the digital age and the changing landscape of the Gulf. This conference looks at redefining conceptual frameworks to render images and stories from the Gulf more legible, theorizing political economy within Gulf media, and strategizing ways to support sustainable visual media that acknowledges its connections with Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, and the world.
