US Tariff and Trade Policies: Then and Now

What forces and interests have determined the US government's trade and tariff policies since 1776? What outcomes did those forces and interests produce historically? How have tariffs and trade restrictions moved over time since 1776? This talk approaches these questions using methods using simple principles from economics and political science.
