John Torreano presents his new series of photographs. Initially a straightforward response to the unusual combination of colors, materials, and designs of the buildings that define Abu Dhabi’s cityscape, this meditation evolved into a deeper interest in the idea of contra-distinction and how the multiplicity of contrasts that characterize the region—the sky, desert, city, and sea—provide amazing sensorial possibilities.
