Demographic forecasts indicate the world population will reach 9 billion by the year 2050, with 70% of the world's population living in urban areas. Focused efforts on solving problems faced by people living in the world’s cities is needed. One main challenge is addressing unmet and growing needs for mobility.
This symposium provides a forum for learning about cost-effective solutions to address urban mobility needs, with presentations on Traffic Flow Modeling, Transportation Networks, Traffic Forecasting, Mobile Sensors, and other related topics.
