Falconry: Heritage, History, Medicine

Conference

WHEN November 15, 2015
9 AM - 1 PM WHERE NYUAD Campus, Conference Center WHO NYU Abu Dhabi Institute Open to the Public

UNESCO’s inscription of Falconry on the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity was the result of much specialized research, and has resulted in some surprising conclusions. This conference discusses the heritage, history and care of falcons. The best cultural practices in humanity develop slowly; and, unsurprisingly, it has taken humanity 4,000 years to realize the intangible cultural heritage of this hunting art.
