This talk centers on the experience of managing a leading collection of Western art. This includes planning its installation, organizing exhibitions, remaining active in the academic fields that are relevant to the collections, coordinating and overseeing the restoration of paintings, and public relations. A passionate engagement with art is the key ingredient to carry out the two main goals of a curator: to preserve works of art and to enhance the experience of contemplating them.
