Part of the Abu Dhabi Festival's Riwaq Al Fikr Series
The creative economy is one of the most rapidly growing sectors of the world economy. At the local level, it is highly transformative in terms of income generation, job creation, and export earnings. Equally important is its non-monetary value as a platform for identity, dialogue, social integration, and improved quality of life. This panel discusses the factors that contribute to a successful creative economy, bringing together national and international experts to share their perspectives from the arts, academia, the private sector, and the UN system. This program also celebrates the launch of the Arabic edition of the UN Creative Economy Report 2013, co-published by UNESCO and UNDP, with support from ADMAF.
Simultaneous Arabic interpretation will be provided.
