Experts in the classical Greek and Arabic traditions convene to discuss emotions such as anger, shame, remorse, love, and pity. Examination of the use of these terms reveals that there are basic differences in human emotive expressions across cultures and through time. Taking these differences into account, participants explore how these concepts are viewed and experienced in the two cultures.
