In 2005, Lammtara, an award-winning animation studio, begun production of FREEJ, the Middle East's first 3D animated series. FREEJ is the tale of four old national women living in a secluded neighborhood in modern-day Dubai. The show's main characters try to live a peaceful life in the midst of the ever-expanding city around them, but the city's boom unveils new social issues every day that they have to tackle in their own ways. The creator and director of FREEJ discusses the story of FREEJ and how he becomes the first cartoon animator in the Emirates.

Simultaneous Arabic interpretation will be provided.
