Recent years have seen a proliferation of Middle Eastern films which can be characterized as "transnational" in their themes of migration and displacement, in their funding and casting, or in the nature of their distribution and dissemination. This panel brings together leading curators, producers, filmmakers, and scholars from the Middle East and the US to explore the present state of Arab/Middle Eastern Cinema, the emergence of transnational trends, and prospects for the future.
