This exhibition, titled after the quote by designers Charles and Ray Eames, surveys the work of Italian calligrapher Luca Barcellona, whose style emerges from the intersection of graffiti and classic calligraphy. The exhibition features a new mural The artist painted for the NYUAD campus and more than 50 of his original works. His lettering has been used by companies such as Carhartt, Nike, Sony BMG, and Volvo; his work has been exhibited in Milan, Australia, and the Netherlands. Lazy Dog press recently published an illustrated survey of his work, also titled Take Your Pleasure Seriously. This exhibition of Barcellona's work was initiated by Goffredo Puccetti, graphic designer and professor at NYUAD.
