International Museum Day 2014 is celebrated in the capital by exhibiting ‘Sky Over the East,' which comprises 56 works by 50 artists from 12 Arab countries, presented by ADMAF and Barjeel Art Foundation. As part of a series of talks accompanying the exhibition, the Director General of Sharjah Museums Authority Manal Ataya talks to Saeed Saeed of The National about ways in which museums can build meaningful, sustainable, and mutually beneficial relationships with society.
