Please note that Radwa Ashour is no longer able to join us for this talk. The event will take place, as an interview between Marina Warner and Paulo Horta of NYUAD.
Two distinguished authors engage in a discussion about the influence of the Arabian Nights on their own work and the important impact the corpus of stories has had on world literature in general. The occasion will also launch the newly published volume, Scheherazade’s Children: Global Encounters with the Arabian Nights (NYU Press, 2013).
Simultaneous Arabic translation will be provided.
