Normativity and Reasoning

See January 19 for companion public program Reasoning seems to be a uniquely human activity; it is therefore of great philosophical significance. Yet it is not at all clear how we do it. This workshop explores our capacity to reason by focusing on the fact that reasoning is governed by norms; it can go well or badly. What are these norms?
