This novel, first published in 1945, imagines a world in which farm animals take over the farm on which they live and then attempt to govern themselves. Often regarded as one of the classics of twentieth-century English literature, Animal Farm offers pointed commentary and critique on the mid-century world, and one of the questions to be discussed is whether the novel's ideas are still relevant.

Abu Dhabi Reads draws together readers from the broad Abu Dhabi community to share their thoughts and ideas about a common text. There are no quizzes or tests; we ask only that you come willing to participate in the conversation. Books are available at Magrudy's in Abu Dhabi and as ebooks from amazon.
