A short presentation on the newly-launched Library of Arabic Literature series by the Library’s Editorial Board. The Board will also present an overview of forthcoming works and discuss some of the challenges the series is facing, including: rendering ancient poetry in 21st-century English, encouraging collaborative translations, and dealing with so-called “untranslatable” texts.
