See September 16 for companion public event The Gulf contains unique and extensive coral reefs whose fauna are adapted to extreme temperatures. These fauna serve as excellent models to study the potential impacts of future climate change on reefs elsewhere in the tropics. This workshop brings together leading international scientists to address questions about how coral reef fauna respond and adapt to these relatively harsh conditions, and to develop an understanding of how reef fauna may adapt to future climate change elsewhere in the tropics.
