Friendship in the Classical World, by David Konstan, has just been published in an Arabic translation by Kalima. This talk focuses on friendship and love in ancient Greece and Rome, and also on pity, compassion, and forgiveness. It also discusses how ancient ethics were similar to – and also different from – modern values.
