Offering its participants both educational and practical sessions, this workshop focuses on the history and identification of photographic processes, the scientific principles of image formation, and the storage, emergency response, fundraising, and preservation of photographic collections, including digital media. Participants also discuss the history and future of photography in the Arab world.
The MEPPI initiative is led by the Arab Image Foundation, the University of Delaware, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Getty Conservation Institute.
