Collaboration between the government, nonprofit, and business sectors is increasingly viewed as a critical approach to addressing today's shared social problems. Cross-sector partnerships are considered a promising and innovative policy intervention, yet the challenges and disproportionate risks and benefits of collaboration make it a contested space for research and action. The first seminar in this series brings scholars together to explore emerging collaborative trends in the Middle East, and considers implications for governance and democracy amidst a changing socio-political landscape.
