Algerian filmmaker Merzak Allouache directs this tale of the mishaps and adventures of two Algerian cousins in Paris. Salut Cousin! follows the hilarity as cousin Alilo explores the modern French city, conducts business and falls in love—but at the same time, director Allouache portrays the real experience of French immigrants from North Africa and their struggles with racism and life as new members of postmodern Europe.
