Athletics Facilities

NYU Abu Dhabi's full complement of indoor and outdoor fitness facilities ensure that our community of students, staff, and faculty can enjoy competitive and recreational sports year- round.

Indoor Swimming Pool

NYUAD's 50-meter swimming pool is at the center of our campus, surrounded by many more modern indoor facilities.

Indoor Running Track

200-meter, four-lane, rubberized indoor recreational jogging track.

Performance Gym

Multi-use indoor sports facility with three courts for basketball, badminton, volleyball, futsal, netball and show court arena set-up capability for basketball and volleyball.

Fitness Center

The NYU Abu Dhabi Fitness Center is a modern facility fully equipped with cardiovascular, resistance, and free weight training equipment.

Women's Gym

We provide a separate women’s gym that offers a private environment fully equipped with cardiovascular, resistance, and free weight training equipment along with a designated stretching zone.

Squash Courts

Three singles squash courts are available to the NYUAD community.

Combative Studio

Large matted studio for martial arts and combat sports.

Climbing Wall

10-meter indoor sports climbing wall equipped with an auto-belay system.

Multipurpose Studio

Large indoor studio with wooden floor, ballet barre, and mirrors. Used for a variety of activities such as dance, HIIT classes, table tennis, etc.

Yoga Studio

Yoga studio for yoga, pilates, and meditation classes.

Cycling Studio

Equipped with Technogym Group Cycle Connect Bikes for an interactive cycling experience. It is also used for other high-intensity classes when not in use for cycling.

Falcon Field and Practice Pitch

Two full-sized natural grass soccer fields.

Outdoor Track

A regulation 400-meter track with eight lanes.

Tennis and Multi-purpose Courts

Four hard-court tennis courts and two multipurpose courts for netball, futsal and basketball.

Sports Performance Center

The sports performance center is available to our university sports team athletes to support their physical preparation, athletic development, pre and in-season strength and conditioning programs, and management of their return to play protocols.
