Student Persistence and Accessibility

The Student Persistence and Accessibility team works with staff, faculty, and students to support students of determination, and functions as a liaison to the Moses Center for Student Accessibility at NYU. The department also coordinates the Student Affairs Deans model, which provides one-on-one support to students throughout their four years. In collaboration with campus partners, the department strives to identify and remove institutional barriers to empower students to attain their educational goals.

Aisha is the Assistant Dean of Students and Director of Campus Life Initiatives. She also serves as NYUAD's Liaison for the Moses Center for Students with Disabilities. Before that Aisha was Director of Student Services at Khalifa University, where she oversaw all aspects of Student Services, including Residential Life, counseling, internships, student activities, sports, student success, and development. Prior to her position at Khalifa University, Aisha oversaw Career Services and Student Services at the UAE’s Higher Colleges of Technology for ten years. Aisha earned her Doctorate of Education, Leadership and Management Policies (Social Psychology) from the University of Birmingham.
