University and Commercial Events serves as the one-stop shop for both NYU Abu Dhabi and non-NYU Abu Dhabi events and programs on-campus. University and Commercial Events strives to reflect the values of NYU Abu Dhabi, as it continues to deliver exciting experiences for students, faculty, and staff, as well as the Abu Dhabi community.

Guneet Sarang serves as the Director of University and Commercial Events. Guneet joined NYU Abu Dhabi in June 2013, and is responsible for planning and execution of major events such Commencement, conferences and meetings, receptions, cultural events and celebrations, as well as commercial engagements on campus.
Guneet has more than 17 years of extensive experience working for major hospitality brands such as Intercontinental, Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton, and Radisson. Prior to this appointment, Guneet oversaw operational strategies, planning, and execution of conferences and events at the Dubai World Trade Center. Throughout his career, he has worked in various capacities in Thailand, Seychelles, India, US, and UAE.
He holds a hospitality diploma from the Institute of Hotel Management in India, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Hospitality Administration from Southern New Hampshire University in the US. Most recently, he earned an Executive Certificate in Festival and Event Management from the University of Edinburgh.
