Strategic Engagement

Strategic Engagement ensures NYU Abu Dhabi’s continued engagement with connections built and opportunities identified locally and internationally.

Our purpose will be to lead the development, alignment, scheduling, production, and delivery of a comprehensive engagement plan that builds on and expands established and ongoing initiatives and activities.

Working with offices across campus, the UAE, and our global partners, we will provide creative input and strategic guidance in planning, tracking, and management of engagement opportunities.

The unit will identify new short and long-term opportunities, provide expertise in the identification and cultivation of strategic engagement opportunities, and lead the development and coordination of event details, logistics, and follow-up. The unit will also be key in the rollout of key messages, announcements, and event coverage.

Through our work with internal groups and external stakeholders, the Strategic Engagement Unit will help foster relationships and position the University as a leading global education institution.

Leader Profile

Humaid Alhammadi is the Assistant Director of Strategic Engagement and is leading the continued engagement with connections built and opportunities identified locally and internationally. Humaid joined NYU Abu Dhabi in 2022 with 17 years of experience in government, semi-government, and private sectors, including handling different events and delegations in Expo 2020. He graduated with a bachelor from Boston University followed by an MBA from Zayed University in Abu Dhabi and has received a diploma in leadership from Cambridge University.
