NYU Abu Dhabi recognizes that higher education is a significant investment in your future, and we aim to attract the best possible students from around the world, regardless of financial circumstances. Every admitted student is considered for limited merit-based support. Additionally, NYUAD provides greater financial assistance to students who demonstrate financial need based on the CSS Profile.
In recognition of NYUAD's highly-selective admissions process, and of the important role that the University plays in shaping future world leaders, the Abu Dhabi government provides fellowships to all admitted UAE national students in the form of the Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed NYUAD Scholarship for Exceptional Emirati Students. Additionally, UAE national students may be eligible for need-based personal support for those who demonstrate financial need based on the CSS Profile.
All NYUAD applicants are encouraged to file the CSS Profile to determine their eligibility. Go to Apply for Financial Aid for important application and deadline information.
While every admitted student is considered for limited merit-based scholarship, applicants are strongly encouraged to submit the CSS Profile by the required filing deadline in order to be considered for need-based financial support. Greater financial support is offered for those with financial need as determined by the CSS Profile.
The Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed NYUAD Scholarship for Exceptional Emirati Students is a scholarship that is offered to admitted Emirati nationals and children of Emirati mothers. The scholarship covers the tuition, registration fees, foreign travel for study integral to a student's academic program, room and board (meals), health insurance, books, and many campus life activities for four years.
A CSS Profile application is required annually for Emirati nationals and children of Emirati mothers who would like to be considered for the need-based personal support.
While all applicants are considered for limited merit-based aid, students who file the CSS Profile will be considered for need-based financial aid. Since NYU Abu Dhabi considers a broad range of family situations when determining financial need, all students, regardless of citizenship or background, are encouraged to submit the CSS Profile.
Award amounts vary depending on the student's financial need as determined by the CSS Profile.
New students who are eligible for NYU Abu Dhabi financial aid will be notified of their awards at the time they are admitted, as long as all of the required documents have been provided and the application deadlines are met. Students will receive financial aid in the form of merit-based fellowships and/or need-based grants, whichever is applicable.
Students will also receive information on how to access their awards online once they are available. The offer of support will be provided via the NYU Albert Student Center with an offer letter that outlines all the details of your financial aid. Students who have questions or concerns about their offer are encouraged to contact the NYU Abu Dhabi Office of Financial Support at nyuad.financial.support@nyu.edu.
Please note: Accepting the offer of admission is also an acceptance of the financial aid award offered.
