About Memberships

Membership at The Arts Center celebrates our 10th Anniversary season and supports our mission, bringing audiences closer to the artists; it creates meeting points for community; and connects ideas and inspiration. It also gives you exclusive access and benefits, including early access to tickets, complimentary or discount tickets (depending on membership type), limited edition Arts Center merchandise, exclusive access to social events with the artists, priority admissions line for Members, and more.

Please visit the membership section of The Arts Center’s website and click Become a Member. This will direct you to Platinumlist, where you can select your level of membership and number of add-on memberships and proceed with the payment.

Member benefits vary depending on which type of membership you purchase, and on how many people you add on to your membership.

The membership is valid for one year, regardless of what date in the season you purchase it. For example, if you purchase a membership on November 1, 2024, it will be valid until October 31, 2024. Note that our main programming seasons run from September to June.

VAT is added to the base price when you purchase your membership.
- VIP membership is priced at 1,200 + 5% VAT (AED 60), so will be charged at a combined cost of AED 1,260.
- Supporting membership is priced at 350 + 5% VAT (17.50) and will be charged at a combined cost of a total of AED 367.50.

Events will include invitations to dinners with the artists, VIP pre- or post-performance receptions, season previews, and more

Members will periodically receive exclusive invites from The Arts Center to events. Keep an eye on your inbox for emails from The Arts Center at NYUAD. Make sure you identify our email address as Not Spam, or even better, add us to your Favorites to make sure you don’t miss any.

Members will be able to access the Members-only dedicated Priority line granting members faster access to our theaters. Please note that latecomers will have to use the main theater doors.

Our weekly newsletter is the best place to learn about new events added to our season. The newsletter will let you know the early booking deadlines for Members only.

Yes. For both VIP and Supporting Members, you’ll start by booking your Principal membership. Then you can add on as many additional adults or youth as you want, for a discounted Add-on price. This will determine how many complimentary or discounted tickets you can book per show.

Your VIP and Supporting membership can include up to 4 adults (principal member plus 3 additional adults) and 6 youth. In both cases, a full-price principal membership will be required in order to purchase discounted add-on memberships.

If you wish to upgrade your membership, email us at nyuad.members@nyu.edu and we will assist you with the upgrade.
Unfortunately, downgrades are not possible, and no refunds are permitted.

Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.
You can choose not to exercise your membership benefits, but no refunds are permitted. It does not automatically renew, so no cancellation is required after the membership year has ended.

Yes. Please designate the recipient at the time of purchase.

Your membership will be activated within 24 hours of your completed purchase. If you do not receive your customized membership code, please contact nyuad.members@nyu.edu or call us at +971-02-628-4555.

We will issue you a digital membership card. The membership is managed virtually, via our computerized box office system. Your customized Promocode will be the most important tool to access your Member privileges, so please don’t lose it. If you have any issues, please email nyuad.members@nyu.edu and let us know that you are a member so we can assist you.

If you booked tickets or signed up for membership and for some reason you have not received an email confirmation, please check your Spam folder. Membership confirmation will come from a Platinumlist return address. If you still do not find it, please contact nyuad.members@nyu.edu or call +971-02-628-4555.

If you are having trouble booking tickets with your Promocode, this may mean that the performance is already fully booked, or your code has already been used for that event, or another issue.

If you lose or forget your membership Promocode, please contact nyuad.members@nyu.edu or call +971-02-628-4555.

To claim your merchandise, please visit the VIP / Membership table when you arrive at an event, and let us know you want to claim your gifts. When you depart, please stop by again, so we can give it to you. Note, that merchandise is limited to the principal member only, and not to add-on members.

The Arts Center sometimes partners with other organizations who host performances in our venues. The membership benefits only apply to events produced by NYU Abu Dhabi directly, unless otherwise noted.

The Arts Center will never ask in an email for your bank details or for you to make payment for tickets or otherwise (outside of our box office system). We use Platinumlist, a secure website for all financial transactions.
If you have received an email asking for payment, it is likely to be a ‘phishing’ email. Phishing is an online scam that targets large numbers of email addresses often using a known brand to persuade people to part with their money. Please let us know if you receive such a request, so we can investigate and protect others.
Ticket Questions

Once your membership is active, you will receive a unique Promocode that you will use to unlock your free or discounted ticket. On the Platinumlist event page, type in your Promocode before selecting your ticket type. Once you enter the code, your discount will be applied.

You will be entitled to one member ticket per performance for the Principal member, plus additional tickets based on how many Add-on memberships you purchased. Additional tickets for non-members can be purchased at full price.

We understand that plans sometimes change. If you wish to change your tickets for a different performance time, please email the Members-only email address nyuad.members@nyu.edu and we will do our best to accommodate your request, subject to availability. If you simply cannot attend and you wish to cancel your ticket, please let us know so we can release your tickets to make them available to someone else in the community who wants to attend.

As a member, you will only be able to reserve one member ticket, for the principal member, plus additional tickets based on additional add-ons to your membership.
To book a ticket for your friends, if your membership includes enough tickets, you can book the ticket and then invite your friend. The Promocode is just for you, and must not be shared.

We understand that plans sometimes change. If you simply cannot attend, please let us know so we can release your ticket(s) to make them available to someone else in the community who wants to attend. You are also free to give the ticket to a friend, if they will definitely be able to come. We try to not let seats go empty so that everyone who wants to see the show can, and so the artists don’t play to empty seats.

Members receive early access to book tickets before they go on sale to the general public. If you decide you want to attend later, after tickets are already sold out, members will get priority should we receive any returned tickets or late cancellations. To add your name to the ticket waitlist (exclusive to members only), please email nyuad.members@nyu.edu.
