At NYU Abu Dhabi, The Arts Center, Art Gallery, and Institute are committed to providing an educationally enriching experience to the community. As a University in Abu Dhabi, with global reach, NYUAD is invested in providing learning opportunities in every performance, talk, and creative journey. At every step of the creative experience, it is our responsibility to bring new ideas, experiences, and opportunities to the community through events, programs, and collaboration.
Resources
The Art Center, Institute, and The Art Gallery provide a plethora of resources to the community for educational and enrichment purposes. Videos, publications, podcasts, and guides are published by each of the three Public Programs Entities that can be used as educational resources for the community.
Programs for Schools and Colleges
The Arts Center welcomes teachers and students to NYU Abu Dhabi to experience amazing live performances and interactions with the performing arts. School matinee events are presented with the support of The US Mission to the UAE. All school matinees are free of charge and are by invitation only. Each showing will be followed by a conversation with the artists. The performances are excerpted, specifically for student audiences, and the complete works will not be performed. Study guides with detailed information about the show and the artists will be shared with registered educators closer to the event.
Study Guides for Schools and Colleges
The Art Gallery produces a youth guide in connection with every exhibition at the gallery. Each youth guide is developed in collaboration with an artist or an illustrator from the local community. These guides allow for a self-guided, family-friendly engagement with exhibitions, with each guide offering a different theme and learning experience.
