During this workshop with Farah Chamma, participants will explore the methods used to activate different genres of poetry in a variety of mediums. Amiri Baraka performed Somebody Blew Up America with sounds of an owl exploding. Hugo Ball performed Karawane with no words at all. Participants will have insight of different examples in Arabic and English, navigating with bursts of text readings, exercises and discussions.
