The Middle East’s longest-running open mic night stays virtual for the Fall, with one special in-person event in November.
Join leading and up-and-coming spoken word artists, poets, and musicians presenting original material. Experience culturally-diverse voices with a lineup that features open mic nights and poetry slams. Rooftop Rhythms is hosted by founder, Dorian Paul Rogers, with opening and closing DJ sets by Jaysus Zain.

Season 10 / 2021 Lineup and Dates:
- Virtual Slam Competition and Open Mic Night – Wednesday, Dec 15
- 2022’s lineup will be announced in early January of 2022.
The in-person component of this event is open to NYUAD community members with a valid NYUAD ID only. All attendees must present a ‘Green’ status on AlHosn app and a negative PCR result (valid until at least 96 hours before the event). Tickets will be available from Wednesday, December 8 at 3pm via the NYUAD Intranet and Student portal. Check Booking Info for details.
