Recent Highlights
- NYUAD Assistant Professor of Computer Engineering Ozgur Sinanoglu has been awarded USD 210,000 by the Semiconductor Research Corporation in association with the Abu Dhabi Advanced Investment Corporation to develop adaptive techniques to improve the cost and quality of the characterization and testing process for low-power circuits. The study will be conducted over two years in collaboration with Sule Ozev, professor of Electrical Engineering at Arizona State University.
- NYUAD Assistant Professor of Arab Crossroads Studies Nathalie Peutz's article, Revolution in Socotra: A Perspective from Yemen's Periphery, in the Middle East Report discusses the transformative nature of the Arab Spring on the Yemeni Socotra islands, located in what Peutz considers "one of the most far-flung and 'peripheral' regions of the Arab world."
- Gulf reef communities offer a valuable opportunity for researchers to examine the role of temperature fluctuation in influencing physiology, and therefore their potential to acclimate to future climate change conditions, NYUAD Assistant Professor of Biology John Burt recently reported in a chapter in Coral Reefs of the World (DOI: 10.1007/978-94-007-3008-3_9).
