Rajesh Kumar

Rajesh Kumar received his master's degree in Meteorology from Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), India, in 2004. He did his PhD in Ocean Engineering and Naval Architecture from IIT Kharagpur, India, in 2009 and postdoc (2009-2011) at Uppsala University, Sweden, on Coupled Atmosphere-Wave modeling. He was an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellow at Environment Canada, Montreal, before joining NYUAD.

Research areas: air-sea interaction, wave-ice interaction, wave modeling and coupled ocean-atmosphere-ice modeling.
