As the executive director of The Arts Center at NYU Abu Dhabi, I recognize that it’s unlikely that most members of our community will be familiar with more than a fraction of the artists in the 2016-17 line-up. It’s a big season, and all of the shows are my favorites.

The NYUAD Arts Center presents distinguished professional artists from around the world, student, faculty, and community productions. As a vibrant laboratory for performance that both presents and develops work, the Arts Center fosters a dynamic relationship between the arts, scholarship, and community.

Firmly rooted in the region but with a global reach, embedded in the university while welcoming Emiratis and the local community, the NYUAD Arts Center is an extraordinary new addition to the local and international arts landscapes. Excellence, collaboration, creativity, accessibility, innovation, respect and understanding are the core values that govern the NYUAD Arts Center.
