On Elemental Sulfur: An Emirati Perspective

Elemental Sulfur, the sixteenth element in the periodic table, is vital to all living cells and can be found in volcanic areas and springs. Driven by the country’s ambitious economic growth, the UAE will soon be among the largest producers of sulfur with an output of 10 million tons per year. This talk focuses on the development of new applications that utilize the yellow element on a large scale, and how it impacts the UAE in unnoticed ways.
