The role of numbers and number theory has long been involved in the quest of understanding how nature works and what lies behind the phenomena. This lecture explores how numbers deeply affect art, science, and architecture, from the pioneering Greek philosophers through the Arab mathematicians of the Middle Ages, and finally to the artists and the architects of the old and the new world.
