Official Transcripts

Official copies of University transcripts can be requested when a stamped and sealed copy of academic records is required.

Requests for official transcripts require the signature of the student requesting the transcript, unless the student has a valid NetID.

Current Students with a Valid NetID

Students with a valid NetID should submit the Secure Online Transcript Request Form. The system will authenticate a student based on their NetID and password. A signed consent form is not required. Before the request is completed, students should ensure that all of their grades have been posted. There is no charge for academic transcripts. Transcripts cannot be produced for anyone whose record has been put on hold for an outstanding University obligation.

Mailing Address and Fax Number

All academic record requests must be accompanied by a signed document and are processed by the NYU Office of the University Registrar. Students can either mail or fax their signed form/letter.

Writing a Request Letter

A request letter must include all of the following information:

  1. University ID number
  2. Current name under which the student attends NYUAD
  3. Current address
  4. Date of birth
  5. That the student attends NYU Abu Dhabi
  6. Dates of attendance
  7. Full name and address of the person or institution to which the transcript is to be sent

There is no limit to the number of official transcripts that can be issued to a student. Students can indicate in their requests if they would like us to forward the transcripts to their home address, but we still require the name and address of each institution.

If a student initiates a transcript request through the online request form, he or she will receive email confirmation from the NYU Office of the University Registrar when it receives the online request. Please contact the office at +1 212-998-4280 and a representative will assist with any questions or concerns.
