Injy is a research assistant at CAMeL Lab and a PhD student at the Institute for Natural Language Processing in Stuttgart University, Germany. Her research interests include multilingual and code-switched natural language processing. Her current work is focused on corpora collection, speech recognition, and machine translation.

Injy graduated from the German University in Cairo, where she earned her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from the faculty of Computer Science and Engineering. She conducted both B.Sc. and M.Sc. projects at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence, Germany. Her B.Sc. and M.Sc. research areas were in computer vision and recommender systems. Prior to joining CAMeL Lab, she was a researcher and lecturer assistant at the German University in Cairo.
